Safari Overview
Kazuri is a Swahili word meaning small and cute, this is a short but well-planned safari that is not too rushed and introduces you to the best of nature. It takes you to Kenya’s most popular game sanctuary renowned for its works to conserve wildlife and provide a sanctuary for great apes. You will later proceed to Lake Naivasha which is a beautiful freshwater lake, fringed by thick papyrus and Crescent Island. And finally, to Kenya’s most popular game reserve renowned for the Wildebeest Migration Maasai Mara.

Day to Day Itinerary
Day 1: Nairobi – Ol Pejeta Conservancy
You will be met by our company representative on arrival at the airport or your Nairobi Hotel. Then start safari with your driver-guide after briefing heading north to Ol Pejeta Conservancy situated on the equator, west of Nanyuki, between the foothills of the Aberdares and Mount Kenya, arriving on time for lunch at Sweetwaters tented camp or Ol Pejeta house.
Day 2: Ol Pejeta – Lake Naivasha
Ol Pejeta – Lake Naivasha
After breakfast, you will embark on your 4 hrs drive towards Lake Naivasha (the name derives from the local Maasai name Nai’posha, meaning “rough water” because of the sudden storms which can arise). On your way, you will have a brief stop at Thomson’s Falls. This is a 74 meters’ scenic waterfall on the Ewaso Ng’iro river a few Kilometers from Lake Ol Bosolat.
Upon arrival at your accommodation, you will check-in, have lunch, relax and embark on your afternoon exploration in this beautiful freshwater lake on a boat safari later disembark at the shores for a walking safari at Crescent Island in midst of Giraffes, Thompson gazelles, wildebeests, Impalas among others herbivorous as sunsets over the African horizons as you round off your Afternoon Adventure.Relax after lunch and leave the camp for an evening game drive starting 15:30 till 18:30 and come back to the camp for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Lake Naivasha – Maasai Mara
After early breakfast head southwest of Naivasha driving into the Maasai land through the Kedong and Suswa plains before your stopover at the Maasai town of Narok. Continue towards the Maasai Mara arriving in time for lunch and an afternoon game drive.
One of Kenya’s most visited game reserves, the Mara has an extraordinary density of animals including the Big five and an array of plains game. The Mara River cuts through the Mara-Serengeti ecosystem giving life to the two-game reserves before pouring out into Lake Victoria. The instinct-led migration of wildebeest, zebra, and gazelle from the Serengeti to the Maasai Mara is the highlight of this safari. The animals have to outrun the predators on the way making it even more magnificent.
The afternoon game drive starts at 16:00 back to your accommodation when the sun sets down behind the horizons with a beautiful silhouette against the dimming African skies.
Day 4: Maasai Mara
The second day in Mara will be spent exploring the extensive grasslands savannas with options of a full day, half-day, or morning and afternoon game drives. Whatever best suits you depends on the wildlife sighting, migration patterns, and the prevailing weather conditions. Hot air balloons and traditional Maasai communities’ cultural visits for a glimpse into their rich culture, can also be arranged.
Day 5: Maasai Mara – Nairobi
After breakfast at your safari lodge, you will head back to Nairobi. On arrival to the city under the sun, you will be transferred either to your hotel or to the airport.
